Core Technology Module

The Core Technology Module forms the foundation of IOST 3.0's RWA Framework, providing essential capabilities for asset tokenization, compliance, identity management, liquidity enhancement, and real-time pricing through oracle networks.

1. Tokenization Engine

The Tokenization Engine provides comprehensive infrastructure for converting various real-world assets into tokenized digital representations on the blockchain.

  • Multi-Asset Support: Supports tokenization of diverse asset types including principal-protected interest-bearing assets (coupon bonds), open-end MMFs, non-principal-protected assets (mining/GPU clusters), fixed-interest assets (real estate rental rights), and non-interest-bearing fixed assets (artwork).

  • Asset Templates: Provides flexible asset template designs, allowing issuers to define fundamental asset properties (principal, interest rates, depreciation mechanisms, principal and interest payment structures).

  • Principal-Interest Separation: Supports principal-interest separation for issued assets, using smart contracts to automatically split principal and interest flows into different tokens, facilitating secondary market trading.

2. KYC/KYB Module

The KYC/KYB Module ensures regulatory compliance while maintaining user privacy, enabling compliant asset issuance and transactions across jurisdictions.

  • Lightweight Compliance: Employs lightweight KYC for specific business scenarios (such as compliant asset subscription), enabling rapid identity verification through integration with third-party compliance platforms.

  • On-Chain Records & Privacy: Utilizes DID technology to ensure encrypted storage and authorized access to user and institutional identity information while meeting compliance requirements.

  • Cross-Border Compliance: Leverages IOST's compliance advantages in Japan to provide technical support for future expansion into other markets such as the United States.

3. DID Module

The Decentralized Identity (DID) Module creates a secure, privacy-preserving framework for identity management across the RWA ecosystem.

  • Decentralized Authentication: Provides decentralized identity identifiers for asset issuers, holders, and investors, establishing trusted relationships between assets and participants.

  • Privacy & Security: Employs zero-knowledge proof and other privacy protection technologies to ensure secure transmission and storage of user identity data while complying with regional regulations.

  • Hardware DID Integration: Features industry-first wearable devices and Proof of Heartbeat algorithm to ensure user identity authenticity, significantly increasing the difficulty of sybil attacks.

4. Cross-Chain Asset Bridge

The Cross-Chain Asset Bridge facilitates seamless movement of real-world assets across different blockchain networks, enabling unified asset management and enhanced liquidity.

  • Asset Unification: Maps external RWA assets from chains like Ethereum and BSC into the IOST Layer 2 platform, standardizing them under a unified framework.

  • Secure Asset Transfer: Implements a lock-and-mint mechanism that securely locks assets on their origin chain while generating verifiable mapping proofs for asset issuance on IOST L2.

  • Compliance Integration: Incorporates compliance verification at the asset entry point, ensuring all cross-chain assets meet regulatory requirements before entering the ecosystem.

5. Oracle Engine

The Oracle Engine provides secure, accurate real-world data feeds to smart contracts, enabling reliable price discovery and valuation of tokenized assets.

  • Multi-Source Aggregation: Collects real-world asset pricing data from diverse and trusted sources including regulated exchanges, financial data providers, and institutional market makers to establish accurate price feeds.

  • Anti-Manipulation Safeguards: Implements advanced statistical models, outlier detection algorithms, and weighted median calculations to identify and exclude anomalous price data, ensuring price integrity.

  • Real-Time Price Discovery: Provides on-chain updates via threshold signature cryptography for immediate availability of accurate pricing information, enabling dynamic valuation of tokenized assets.
